Pelham Country Club

Designed by Devereux Emmet in 1921, the course was significantly changed by Alfred Tull in 1954 when a bisecting highway was built across the property.

Having been retained in 2008 to advise the club, Mike authored a long-term plan in 2015. The key problem addressed was a low area which houses five holes. Due to poor land, a restricted budget when it was built, and bad drainage, it flooded regularly causing much disruption.

As part of the redesign of that area, a creek was developed between three holes allowing water to be channelled to a sump station that fills a new lake. Not only has this radically reduced post-storm flooding, it is led to the club saving over $80,000 per annum in irrigation costs.
